Salesforce isn't one product. It's a family of products, and the names can get confusing. Let's draw a simple map, and see which parts this course teaches.
The main CRM apps
Salesforce lists its main CRM apps like this:
| App | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Sales | Finding and winning deals |
| Service | Helping customers after they buy |
| Marketing | Campaigns |
| Commerce | Selling online and in stores |
On their own pages, the first two are called Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
Everything around them
Around those apps sit more products:
- Platform: build your own apps.
- Data 360: bring your data together.
- Tableau: analytics.
- MuleSoft: connect other systems.
- Slack: where teams work together.
- Agentforce: AI agents.
What this course teaches
Think about Peakline Fitness:
- Jason sells equipment, so he works in Sales Cloud.
- David fixes treadmills, so he works in Service Cloud.
- Emma could check her orders on a help site built with Experience Cloud, which makes sites for customers and partners.
So this course focuses on Sales and Service, with a light look at Experience Cloud. The other products, you'll know by name.
